I. Call to Order
The Urban Tree Board met at Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation at 2:00 pm.
Tree board members attending were Chair Bryce Landrud, Members: Brooksie Donna Hall, Jan Speer
and James Tourangeau. Also present at the meeting were Parks Planning Manager Jamie Kelly,
Horticulturist Richard Valenti and Parks Secretary Julie Mehl.

The board approved May 2016 minutes.

Bryce Landrud to deliver Heritage Tree proclamation to Olympic Middle School.
Erika Klyce, Neighborhood Programs Coordinator has updated the Neighborhood Tree Grant documents.
The board will re-visit the G St tree planting idea.

VI. Board Recommendations/Input
Chair Bryce Landrud reports the tree types affected by the hot summer of 2015 were ornamental trees;
maples &firs.
Heritage Tree suggestions, Douglas Fir at Auburndale Park or Big Leaf Maple at the Auburn Golf Course.
VII. Department Report
Herr Property update: Big Daddy's has been removed, landscape design is being discussed. Visibility
from Auburn Way S is priority.
VIII. Adjournment
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:57 pm.
