WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the Aubum City Council held March 5, 2001 the Council adopted two resolufions numbered 3335, one of which was enti4led "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN; 1NASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO IMPLEMENT A CITIZENS COMMITTEE AND RETAIN AN OUTSIDE CONSULTANT TO STUDY WITH REGARD TO BECOMING FINANCIAL PARTNERS WITH THE AUBURN COMMUNITY CENTER YMCA"; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to renumber the resolution numbered 3335 which authorized the Mayor and City Clerk to implement a citizens committee regarding issues rela#ed to the Aubum Community Center YMCA to Resolution No. 3346. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Aubum are heretiy authorized to change the Resolution numbered 3335 which authorized the Mayor and City Council to implement a citizens committee regarding issues related to the Aubum Community Center YMCA to Resolution No. 3346. WHEREAS, the City Council passed Resolution No. 3256 on August 21, 2000 to study the potential of becoming a financial and operating partner with fhe Auburn Valley branch of the YMCA of Greater Seattle to construct an Aubum Community/YMCA, as an integral part of a Community Gampus at Les Gove Park, 1NHEREAS, fhe City Council desires additional community input to study the potential for such an agreement, WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to create a citizen's committee to formulate rec.o.mmendations to the City Council related to the suitabiliry of a YMCA/Auburn Community Center; as well as other proposals for the developmenf of an Aubum Community Center, WHEREAS; the City Council uvishes to make a decision regarding this partnership by December 17, 2001, -------------------------------- Resolution No. 3335 March 5, 2001 Page 1. ,. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING, DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City of Auburn will appoint a Citizen's committee to formulate recommendations to the City CounciL Section 2. The City of Aubum will retain the services of an outside consultant to facilitate the work of the citizen's committee. Section 3. The City of Au.burn will receive said recommendations by the committee by September 30, 2001: Section 4.
