HomeMy WebLinkAbout3370 RESOLUTION NO. 3 3 7 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNGIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, FIXING A TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON EXTENSION OF THE MORATORIUM ON THE FILING OF BUILDING AND GRApING PERMIT APPLICATIONS IN THE DRAINAGE AREA BOUNDED BY SR-18 TO THE SOUTH, 15TH STREET NW TO THE NORTH, UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD TO THE EAST, SR-167 TO TH.E WEST AS DEFINED WITHIN ORDINANCE NO. 5518, ADOPTED AUBURN CITY COUNCIL ON FEBRUARY 20, 2001. WHEREAS, Ordinanee No. 5518, adopted by Auburn City Council on February 20, 20001, established a moratorium on the filing of building an grading permit applications in the drainage area bounded by SR-18 to the south, 15th Street NW to the north, Union Pacific Railroad to the east, SR-167 to the west within the City of Auburn; and WHEREAS, the term of the moratorium established by Ordinance No. 5518 is six months; and WHEREAS, studies are currently underway to determine the cause(s) of storm water drainage problems in the area and possible solutions; and WHEREAS, staff has determined that more time is needed to study the issue and determine the feasibility for permitting new development and the Resolution No. 3370 July 3, 2001 Page 1 specific conditions necessary to address storm drainage issues. � NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. PUBLIC.HEARING ON EXTENSION OF_MORATORIUM. Pursuant to RCW 36.70A.390, the City Council hereby schedules a public hearing on extension of the moratorium on Monday, August 6, 2001, at 7°30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the City ofiAuburn. Section 2. Upon passage of fhis Resolution, the City Clerk shall give ten (10) days nofice of the pendency of'the petition by posting written notice in the manner required by statute and as required by City Ordinance. Section 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such adminisfrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. ��. , DATED and SIGNED this� day of July, 2001.
