Chair Sydney reported that she read an article that found students learn about
sexual education when it is taught by their peers or from someone slightly
older than them, rather than by teachers. Sydney recommended that the Junior
Council reach out to their schools and suggest there be a change to the sexual
education curriculum. Member Izquierdo shared that he has been working with
the school district about the sexual education curriculum and he is going to
attempt to get a representative from the Auburn School District to attend a
Junior Council meeting to discuss the issue.
V. ADJOURNMENT
