CALL TO ORDER Deputy Mayor Holman called the rimeeting to order at 5t30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Auburn, City Hall, 25 West Main Street in Auburn. A. Roll Call City Councilmembers present: Deputy Mayor Holman, Rich Wagner, Bill Peloza, Largo Wales, Wayne Osborne, Claude DaCorsi and Yolanda Trout. City o�cials and staff members present included: Mayor Nancy Backus, City Attorney Daniel B. Heid, Community Development and Pu.blic Works Director Kevin Snyder, Assistant Director of.Engineering anci City Engineer Ingrid Gaub, Assistant Directo�of Community Development Services Jeff Tate, Assistant City Engineer Jacob Sweeting, Chief of Police Bob Lee, Public Affairs and Marketing Manager Dana Hinman, Parks, Art and Recreation Director Daryl Faber, IT.Operations Manager Ashley Riggs, IT Cusfomer Support Manager Reba Stowe, and City Cierk Darnelle Daskam, II. Announcements, Reports, and Presentations Deputy Mayor Holman thanked GouncilmemberOsborne for serving as interim Deputy Mayor. III. AGENDA ITEMS FOR COUNCIL DISCUSSION A. Public Works Project No. CF1412 -Auburn Community and Youth Center Project - 15 Minute Presentation /15 Minute Q &A (Sweeting) Assistant City Engineer Swee4ing and Mr. Lockting presente.d Gouncil wi4h an update on the Teen Center and Community Center.The final design presentation included visuals of final design products, reviewed exterior elevations, and the interior perspective. The Council viewed a virtual walk through for both the Teen Center and the Community Center. Director Snyder reminded Council 4he history of this project. He noted the project is on time and on budget. B. Recreational Vehicles as Dweiling Units - 15 Minute Presentation / 15 Minute Q & A (Tate) Review and discuss Auburn City Code (ACC) Chapters 18.07 and 18.46A relating fo Recreational Vehicles (R� and Temporary Use Permits associated wi4h Recreational Vehicles Assistant Director Tate presented Council with the proposed code changes regarding recreational Vehicles as dwelling units. He explained fhe Auburn City Code is silent on the issue. The Planning Commission has haii a , discussion on the use of recreation vehicles as dwelling units. City staff plan Page 1 of 2 to move forward to the Planning Commission for their consideration a recommendation that prohibits using recreationai vehicles as dwelling units with exceptions for temporary use permits. One concern the Planning Commission is considering is the prohibition may increase homele.ssness. Councilmember Wales stated she is concerned about an increase in homelessness. She is in favor of allowing additional uses for the homeless. Counciimember Osborne asked about King Counry's posi4ion and aliowances. Assistant Director Tate 5tated King County has additional allowances. IV. OTHER DISCUSSION ITEMS There was no other discussion items. V.
