Call to Order, Introductions and Approval of nAinutes Chair Gollnick called the meeting to order at 4;34 pm:After a brief welcome and introductions, Chair Gollnick asked for a motion to approve the minutes from the August 8, 2017 Arts Commission meeting. Commissioner Jensen moved to approve the August 8 2017 meeting minutes; the motion was seconded by Commissioner Judd. Chair Gollnick called the vote, and the motion passed unanimously. II. Iconic Public Artwork Parks,Arts& Recreation Director, Daryl Faber, presented on the Iconic Public Art project and opened the topic up for discussion between the Arts Commission and the Sub-Committee. Discussion was held amongst the group regarding the proposed piece. Moved by Commissioner Smart to work with the artist on new proposals based on a set of criteria and feedback outlined by the sub-committee. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Colson. Chair Goltnick called the vote and the motion passed unanimously. III. Upcoming Project Support Grants Arts Coordinator Hyde briefly discussed the upcoming call for applications for the 2018 Auburn Art , Commission Project Support Grant and the revised guidelines and online application format.A ' suggestion was made to include the overall arts budget for those applying as organizations, which will be added to the application. IV. Bravo Pertorming Arts Season Arts& Events Manager Krueger shared details of the new line-up for the Bravo performing arts season which runs September 2017-August 2018. Kruegeralso announced that new ticketing software has been implemented, allowing customers to print tickets at home. V. Updates/Upcoming Events a) Arts Coordinator Hyde announced the three calls to artists that are open currently and encouraged Arts Commissioners to help spread the word about them. b) Arts Coordinator Hyde also announced that the Auburn ArtWalk would be taking place on Friday, September 8th and that the Arts&Culture Center would again be one of the locafions for artists on display at the event. Arts Commissioners were encouraged to attend. c) Commissioner Colson invited everyone to attend the upcoming Auburn Symphony Orchesfra ''Season Prelude"event on September 23ro. , There being no further business, a motion was made by Commissioner Jensen to adjourn, which was seconded by Commissioner Longhurst.
