A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, APPROVING ADDENDUM NO. 1
TO THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE GITY OF AUBURN AND THE AUBURN
POLICE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION FOR 2016 -2018
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn recognizes the Auburn Poliee Management
Association as the exelusive bargaining representative of all Police Department employees
of the rank of Commander; and
WHEREAS, in connection therewith, the City of Auburn and the management of the
Auburn Police negotiated a Collective Bargaining Agreement for the years 2016 — 2018,
setting forth the mutual understanding and agreement of the parties relative to salaries and
conditions of employment for those employees for whom the City recognizes the Auburn
Police Management Association as the collective bargaining representatives; and
WHEREAS, the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the years 2016 — 2018, was
approved pursuant to Resolution No. 5190 and executed on the 7th day of December, 2015;
and
WHEREAS, consistent with the terms of said Collective Bargaining Agreement,
openers for certain provisions will be contemplated for the second year of the Collective
Bargaining Agreement, for which acceptable terms were negotiated in Addendum No. 1 to
the Collective Bargaining Agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate for the Cify Council to approve Addendum No. 1 to the
Collective Bargaining Agreement for the years 2016 - 2018.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, KING
COUNTY, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:

Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute Addendum No. 1 to the
Collective Bargaining Agreement by befinreen the City of Auburn and the Auburn Police
Management Association for the years 2016 - 2018, which Addendum No. 1 is in substantial
conformify with the Addendum attached hereto, marked as Exhibit "A" and ineorporated
herein by this reference.
Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative
procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation.
Section 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect upon passage and signatures
hereon.

ADDENDUM TO THE CITY OF AUBURN AND AUBURN POLICE MANAGEMENT

ASSOCIATION COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT 2016-2018
THIS ADDENDUM is made and entered into this 28th day ofNovember 2017, by and between
the AUBURN POLIC� MANAGEIVI�NT ASSOCIATION ("Association"), and the CITY OF
AUBURN,a municipal corporation ofthe State of Washington(hereinafter referred to as"Auburn"),as
an addendum to the 2016-2018 Collective Bargaining Agreement executed on the 7t''day of December, ;
2015.
NOW THBREFORE in consideration of their mutual covenants, conditions, and promises,the �
PARTIES HERETO HEREBY AGREE to ainend the Coliective bargaining Agreement as follows: �
1. AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE 8—The parties agree that the City will continue to offer �
the current Premera PPO plan in 2018. However,AWG will terminate the Kaiser Permanente(Plan 2- �
$10.00 co-pay) effective December 31, 2017. Therefore, any employee electing enrollmerit on Kaiser I
Permanente�will be placed in the Plan 3$20,00 co-pay/$200.00 d:eductible plan effective 3anuary 1,2018. i

2. AMENDMENT to APPENDIX "A" — Appendix "A" of the Original Agreement is I
amended to read as followsc �

The parties agree that effective January 1, 2018, there shall be a three percent (3%) wage !
increase. �

3. RENL4I.NING TERMS UNCHANGED: That all other provisions of the Original �
Agreement shall remain unchanged, a.nd in full force and effect. '
