The meeting was called to order at 2:d8 pm by Warren Olson Review of Tuesdaq> Aprtl 10, 2018 Minufes: The April 10, 201$ Minutes were moved for approval. , Old Business: . Memodai Day- Itwas a nice day and a !ot of people-attended`theservice. This year, fihe speakers and sound system were rented from AT Productions, LLC and it made a huge difference. Staff was able fo help guiding peaple fipd parking.There were 4 bleachers forpeople to sit. The program was short and sweet, about 30 minutes. Favorable comments about the grounds. Cub Scouts Pack and Girl Scouts Troop helped placing flags on.Saturday, They were supervised by theirleaders and parents. Notdog lunch wa's served diterwards, Gift bags were given to the children as a thank you for helping.. a Service Projects-A couple graups came:The first one had about 10-15 people. These voiuntee�s have helped at the cemetery for the last 2-3 years now. The second group was a LDS youth group from Aubum with 70-80 young men and women.They helped spreading bark, deaning black bemes and, 10-12 kids moved some gravel af Pioneer cemetery.They were at the cemetery for abou# 2 hours.Their leaders brought pir�a to feed the youth and cemetery staff. Canopies and tables were set-up by cemetery staff. New �Business:� � � � �' � � • John Deere Gator- One of the turf vehicles went bad and isn't worth f'rxing it ' so Craig is in the process af getting a good trade-in value tor it. The new one will be diesel instead of gas. ihe price with the discount will'be around $11,000, The trade-in value for the old one is about $3,SOO ihis gatorwas purchased in 2008. • City Staff Retiring - A lot of city employees are retiring this year like Dan Heid, Bob Lee, Mike Millerand others are getting close toretire. • 2019 2Q20 Budget- Roads in the cemetery will be redone. Some has been budgeted for fhis year. The roads in the cemetery that are good, mairrly in tfie 9fh addition will be anly sealed coat. in 2019 cemetery wi►I use a surplus and, if councii approves, the whole. cemetery will be red�ne. Service schedvling will be pianned and people wifl have to walk in or come back another aay. Cemetery will have signqge and, information will be posted on Facebook to make sure people are aware. Maybe an article in the Auburn Reporfer will be nice. Vn 2020 cemetery is doing the arehitecture pians for Mausoleurn. This is about �o;ooa, In 202} cemetery wili do bids on the build out for that.
