I. Call to Order
The Urban Tree Board met at Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation at 2:00 pm.
Tree board members attending were Members Brooksie Donna Hall, James Tourangeau. Also present at
the meeting were Parks Planning Manager Jamie Kelly, Horticulturist Richard Valenti, Parks Maintenance
Worker Trent Mannon and Parks Secretary Julie Mehl.

The August minutes were not approved as there is no quorum.

Jamie Kelly is waiting to hear from Katie Beaver, she’s working with numerous cities on plantings. She
asked Jamie to apply for a street tree grant.

VII. Department Report
The November volunteer planting is to be held at Fenster Park, Earth Corps is facilitating and Katie
Beaver from King County will attend. 900 trees and 900 shrubs to be planted.
Redwood tree saplings were granted and planted at Isaac Evans park. More to come, including giant
Sequoias.

The meeting adjourned at 2:45.
