THE AUBURN POLICE SERGEANTS ASSOCIATION
The City of Auburn (City) and the Auburn Police Sergeants Association (Association) are parties to the
2016-2018 collective bargaining agreement(CBA). The current CBA, Section 4.2, reads, "Patrol
Sergeants shall work twenty(20) months on their primary shift schedules and four(4) months on their
alternate shift schedules. Shift bids shall be awarded based on seniority within the Sergeant
classification" The alternative shift schedule begins the first week in September and the Sergeants
currently bid for their primary shift and alternative shifts every two years based on seniority.
Both parties agree to amend Section 4.2 as follows, "Patrol Sergeants shall work twelve (12) months on
their primary shift schedules. Patrol Sergeants shall bid annually for their primary shift schedules based
on seniority within the Sergeant classification." The parties agree that the new shift bid shall be in effect
upon signing of this MOU.
Except as expressly amended herein, all other provisions of the current, collective bargaining
agreement between the City of Auburn and the Auburn Police Sergeants Association remain in full force
and effect. ++u
