The Housing Authority of King County Washington("Housing Authority"}-and the Auburn Police . •
Department(".Department")enterinto this record-sharing agreement.ln a coordinated effortto reduce.:'`..
and eliminate criminal activity within public housing;developments owned and operate.by.the Housing.:=_
Authority.
The Department and the Housing Authority agree tope responsib€.lities outlined below:
•
Housing Authority:
.
1. Provide the Department a listing of the addresses:for ail Housing Authority properties.located in;:
the)urisdiction of the•Departrnent.
•
2, Establish a:system of regular communication between the Housing Authorlty.and the
Department to communicate concerns for.emerging problems such as suspected.drug.activity
and other criminal activity that threatens to disrupt the peace and.safety of the community.
3.. Establish a single:contact person with the Housing.Authorlty's local area.office to coordlnate'the
transfer of.information to and from the.:Department and•notify the appropriiate.Department
personnel:whenever and established.contact.person.is replaced. •
'4.. immediately Department of specific incidents occurring within the Housing Authority
communities or suspected of occurring within the Housing Authority communities relating to
serious criminal activity,including drug related criminal activity,
5. tJse information provided by the Department.soielyto evaluate the activities occurring within
the Hous€ng.Authorlty Property. If Information's needed by the Housing Authority for other
uses,the Authority wllFsuomlt a written:request.
6. Limit access to the Inforrnatlon:.to.Regional Managers and to those employees who.cannot •
reasonably carry out their responsibilities without:such access:.and.who have been advised and

agree to comply with°the provis€ons of this agreement,
7. Secure all information received pursuant tothisagreement In secured,locked containers:
.R. Make no disclosures of information in a form.which is Identifiable to an.individual without
meeting the.requirements of the State of Washington Public Disclosure.Act(RCW 92,56), •
Juvenile Justice and Care.Act,(RCW•13.50),Criminal Records Privacy Act(RCW 10.97),and the
Motor Vehicle Act(RCW 46.52). The Department agrees to provide training in the applicable..
state law.
Police.Department:
•
1. Provide quarterly reports by.address Of dispatched calls for service to locations Within the
Housing Authority communities.
2. Establish a system of regular communications,Includinga single contact person,between the
Housing Authority.and the Department to coordinate the transfer of Information to.and from
the.Housing°Authority on.crime related..problems arising out of Rousing Authority communities.

The Department agrees to.use information..received.from the Housing Authority solely to:assist
the Department In connection with suspected crime-related problems arising out ofHousing•
Authority communities.►f.the Department wants Inforrnation:for another purpose,it wlll`submit •
.a written request.
3. Provlde.case reports.for specific.incidents.occurring.in public housing communities relating to
drug,activity and other criminal activity,upon request by.the Housing Authority,
4: Notify the Housing Authority within:ftve days•of serlous'criminal activity, Including drug-related
criminal-activity,or.other Incidents.threatening the life and safety:of residents of the community.: . •
or Housing Authority Staff, However,inn opinion.ofithe•Departnientthe:re►ease of
Information would compromise,.damage,or Jeopardize an..ongoing criminal investigation,and - •
there isnot immediate:threa.t.to life and.safety,the Department maintains the rightto•delay the •
release of information. •
5, Provldetra►ning to authorized Housing Authority personnel regarding•the applicable.state laws, '
This agreement may be.termi.nated by either party if there is a change.in the applicable state.orfederal
law allowing access to information or for cause(a materiai.breach of this agreement).. If there is a•
change In laws,access will.be terminated immediatelyor.altered to conform with the law revision. if
there is a termination for cause,access will be terminated irn mediately the terminating party's
written notice of a breach of this Agreement.The terminated party.may ask for a-meeting.to discuss
reinstatingthe agreement, if the Regional Manager the•Regiona I Manager and the Police Chief cannot reach agreement,•the
matter will be referred••to the Mayorrand the.Deputy Executive Director of Housing.Management of
KCHA for resolution.
The HousingAuthorityandthe Department agree.to indemnify and hold harrniess each other's agency,
officers,agents,and employees from and against.anyand all loss,damages,lnjury;lia. ility suits,and
proceedings however caused,arising directlyor Indirectly out of any action or conduct In the exerclse.or
enjoyment ofthis_agreement...•Such lndemnification.shalllnciude.all of th.eindemnifying party.costs of
defending any such suit;Including attorney fees.
