The Auburn LEOFF Disability Board Meeting scheduled for July 7, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. will be held virtually and

Per the City of Auburn Resolution No. 5533, the City of Auburn meeting location for all Council, Board and

MINUTES
I. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Jim Kelly called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. via our Zoom
Videoconferencing call.
Members present on the Zoom Videoconferencing call included Chair Jim Kelly,
Chair Pro Tem Bill Petersen, Member Stan Laatsch, Member Bob Baggett, and
Member Chris Stearns. Also present was Board Secretary Terry Mendoza and
Assistant City Attorney Doug Ruth.
II. AGENDA MODIFICATIONS
There were no agenda modifications.
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. Minutes of the June 2, 2020 LEOFF Board Meeting*
Motion by Member Laatsch, seconded by Member Baggett to approve the
minutes as published.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 5-0
IV. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A. Pending Medical/Hearing/Vision/Dental Claims
There were no pending claims for this meeting.
V. NEW BUSINESS
A. Appeals/Requests for Reconsideration
No appeal/request for reconsideration has been received.

Request for reimbursement of dental expenses in the amount of
$1,054.00 for services received on May 26, 2020. The LEOFF
member has not received dental reimbursement in 2020.
Motion by Member Baggett to approve the claim as submitted.
Second by Chair Pro Tern Petersen.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 5-0
2. LEOFF 1 Member#562217*
Request for reimbursement of end of life/long term care expenses in
the amount of $10,350.00 for services received between May 13 and
25, 2020. The LEOFF member was not covered by any long-term
care plan.
Motion by Chair Pro Tern Petersen to table the claim to request
additional information. Second by Member Baggett.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 5-0
3. LEOFF 1 Member #378501*
Request for reimbursement of dental expenses in the amount of
$1,755.20 for services received on January 30 and June 11, 2020.
The LEOFF member has not received dental reimbursement in 2020.
The LEOFF member's dental expenses were previously found to be
medically necessary.
Motion by Member Baggett to approve the claim as submitted.
Second by Chair Pro Tern Petersen.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 5-0
4. LEOFF 1 Member #635612*
Request for reimbursement of dental expenses in the amount of
$840.60 for services received on February 27, 2020. The LEOFF
member has received dental reimbursement in 2020.

Request for reimbursement of vision expenses in the amount of
$204.98 for services received on June 3, 2020.
Motion by Member Laatsch to approve the claim as submitted.

C. Other Discussion
The changes to the LEOFF Board Policy and Procedure Manual will be
completed and distributed in August.
