I. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Nancy Backus called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m.

The City Council Meeting was held virtually.
B. Roll Call
Councilmembers virtually present: Deputy Mayor Claude DaCorsi, Bob
Baggett, Larry Brown, James Jeyaraj, Robyn Mulenga, Chris Stearns and
Yolanda Trout-Manuel.
Mayor Nancy Backus and the following staff member were virtually present:
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Program Manager Brenda Goodson-Moore.
II. DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Inclusive Auburn Initiative Training for City Council
Inclusive Auburn Initiative Training
Bernardo Ruiz, Racing to Equity Consulting Group
Mayor Backus introduced and welcomed Bernardo Ruiz and Caitlin Hoover
from Racing to Equity Consulting Group who facilitated session three part
two and session four part one of the Inclusive Auburn training with the City
of Auburn City Council.
Council discussed racial equity, implicit bias, institutional and structural
racism, and community engagement.
III. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting
was adjourned at 5:02 p.m.
