This RELEASE OF EASEMENT is executed by the City of Auburn, a Washington
Municipal Corporation (the"City"), as authorized by Auburn City Code (ACC) 12.04.050.
RECITALS:
1. As part of the City's approval of the vacation of a portion of Iowa Drive under
Ordinance No. 6008 on March 20, 2006, the City retained a Utilities Easement
Easement") within the vacated right-of-way, which is recorded under King County
Recording No. 20060406000310.
2. King County Solid Waste Division ("King County") is the current owner of Parcel
No. 3751601414, legally described on Exhibit A (the "Property"). The Property includes a
portion of the Easement created with the vacation of Iowa Drive. King County has requested
that the Easement be released to allow construction of King County's South Transfer Station
for solid waste.
3. The City has determined that the portion of the Easement on the Property is in
excess of City needs and should be released.

RELEASE:
The City of Auburn releases and forever abandons the portion of the Easement legally
described on Exhibit B and depicted on Exhibit C.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF RELINQUISHED EASEMENT
A 30-foot wide strip of land being a portion of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 23, Township 21 North, Range 4 East, of the Willamette Meridian in King County,
Washington, and lying within Jovita Heights, according to the Plat thereof recorded in Volume
20 of Plats, Page 12, records of said county, more particularly described as follows:
All those portions of Iowa Drive in said Plat of Jovita Heights abutting Lot 6, Block 39 as
vacated by City of Auburn Ordinance No. 6008 attaching to said Lot 6, Block 39 by operation of
law, being 30 feet wide as measured at right angles and lying southwesterly, southerly and
easterly of the centerline of vacated Iowa Drive abutting said Lot 6.
