REVISE all references to bid opening date from June 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM PT to June 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM PT. PART 1: GENERAL SPECIAL PROVISIONS: 1. REVISE all references to bid opening date from June 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM PT to June 3, 2021 at 11 :00 AM PDT. PART 2: TECHNICAL SPECIAL PROVISIONS: 1. REVISE the third paragraph in Section 2-03.4 (Measurement) to read: "Roadway Excavation Including Haul" is calculated from the top bottom of existing asphalt/cement concrete to the bottom elevation of the roadway section. "Roadway Excavation Incl. Haul" only applies to excavation within the roadway prism (between the lip of curb and gutter) as necessary to establish subgrade elevation for the pavement section. Excavation required to establish subgrade for work elements outside the roadway prism, including but not limited to curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveway approaches, and curb ramps, shall not be considered "Roadway Excavation Incl. Haul" and all costs associated with such excavation shall be included in the unit price for the work element for which the excavation was required. APPENDIX A STANDARD DETAILS & STANDARD PLANS: 1. ADD attached City of Auburn Construction Standard Detail T-27.1 to Appendix A. CONTRACT PLANS: 1. REPLACE sheet no. 56 with the attached plan sheet; "Typical Section — CCP Replacement". The project award includes the base bid and additive bids 1 and 2 as follows: Base Bid Work—This work includes replacement of approximately 6,500 linear feet of water main and associated water services, reconstruction and/or overlay of street segments, storm drainage improvements, curb and gutter replacements, curb ramp replacements, sidewalk improvements, and driveway improvements as shown on the Vicinity map. The base bid work is included in Areas 1-4 shown in the attached vicinity map. Additive Bid 1 —The additive work is on 3rd Street NE between Auburn Ave and Auburn Way North. The work includes replacement of approximately 350 linear feet of water main and associated water services, reconstruction of street segments, storm drainage improvements, curb and gutter replacements, curb ramp replacements, sidewalk improvements, and driveway improvements. The additive work is shown adjacent to Area 1 in the attached vicinity map. Additive Bid 2—The additive work is on 2nd Street NE between Auburn Ave and Auburn Way North. The work includes replacement approximately 450 linear feet of water main and associated water services, reconstruction of street segments, storm drainage improvements, curb and gutter replacements, curb ramp replacements, sidewalk improvements, and driveway improvements. The additive work is shown adjacent to Area 1 in the attached vicinity map. ENG-003, Revised 9/21 The City received eight responsive bids and the low bid was approximately 3% below the engineer's estimate. Staff performed verifications to determine that Pivetta Brothers Construction meets the responsible bidding criteria. The total estimated project costs are within the total project budget and is partially funded by a Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Loan administered by the Department of Health. Staff will provide construction status updates on the monthly Capital Project Status Report.
