MINUTES
I. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Jim Kelly called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. via our Zoom
Videoconferencing call.
Members present on the Zoom Videoconferencing call included Chair Jim Kelly,
Chair Pro Tern Bill Petersen, Member Stan Laatsch, and Member Bob Baggett. Also
present was Board Secretary Terry Mendoza. Member Chris Stearns and Senior
City Staff Attorney Doug Ruth were excused.
II. AGENDA MODIFICATIONS
Claim for LEOFF Member#230947 was added to the agenda under Item V.B.5.
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. Minutes of the August 4, 2020 LEOFF Board Meeting*
Motion by Chair Pro Tern Petersen to approve the minutes as published.
Second by Member Baggett.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 4-0
IV. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A. Pending Medical/HearingNision/Dental Claims
1. LEOFF 1 Member#450931*
a. Request for reimbursement of medical expenses in the amount
of$744.60 for long-term care services received between April 1
through April 30, 2020. This claim was tabled for clarification
on what was paid and what is being requested.
The Board received the clarification requested for this claim.

submitted. Second by Member Laatsch.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 4-0
b. Request for reimbursement of medical expenses in the amount
of$1,111.12 for long-term care services received between May
1 through 31, 2020. This claim was tabled for clarification on
what was paid and what is being requested.
The Board received the clarification requested for this claim.
Motion by Member Baggett to approve the claim as submitted.
Second by Chair Pro Tern Petersen.

V. NEW BUSINESS

of $1,094.64 for long-term care services received between
June 1 through June 30, 2020.
Motion by Chair Pro Tern Petersen to approve the claim as submitted.

a. Request for reimbursement of vision expenses in the amount of
$300.00 for glasses purchased on July 8, 2020. The LEOFF
member has not received any vision reimbursement in 2020.

Chair Kelly reminded all that we are coming up on the election process of our
