In Person & Virtual Meeting
I. Call to Order
The Urban Tree Board meeting began at 2:08 pm
Tree board members attending were Members Linda Bielejec, Tanya Galat, Brooksie Donna Hall and
James Tourangeau. Also present at the meeting were Parks Maintenance Manager Stefanie Coleman and
Administrative Assistant Julie Mehl.
II. Minutes
The March minutes were approved.
III. Correspondence/Public Input

All Mason bee houses have been placed for the season by the Auburn Garden Club.

VI. Board Recommendations/Input
The board recommended flyers, Facebook, email blast, and inclusion in Mayor’s newsletter for future
Arbor Day tree plantings.
Board member Linda Bielejec suggested the recently moved Kousa Dogwood for prospective memorial
tree for Bill & Joyce Peloza. The tree was saved and moved to Lea Hill Park.
VII. Department Report (Coleman)
Parks Maintenance Manager Coleman states she’s interviewing for the horticulture position tomorrow.
The new Parks Planning Manager comes from Community Development, Thaniel Gouk starts on Monday
5/9. Parks Maintenance staff has been busy with graffiti removal, general clean ups, dumping issues.
They are also prepping for ball tournaments, Fishing Derby at Mill Pond and a 5K run at Roegner Park.
