In Person & Virtual Meeting
I. Call to Order
The Urban Tree Board meeting began at 2:05 pm
Tree board members attending were members Linda Bielejec, Tanya Galat, and Brooksie Donna Hall.
Also present at the meeting were Park Planning & Development Manager Thaniel Gouk and
Administrative Assistant Julie Mehl.
II. Minutes
The May minutes were approved.
III. Correspondence/Public Input
The board welcomes Thaniel Gouk, Park Planning & Development Manager. Thaniel joined the Parks
Department a month ago after working as a Senior Planner at the City of Auburn for 7.5 years.
IV. Old Business
The Heritage Tree list from 2005 to current was sent to the board via Dropbox, board is unable to access
all files. Photos will be placed in a Power Point presentation so the board can view together.
Board member Galat updated the board on Mason Bee project. Due to the cold, damp climate this spring
the mason bees aren’t expected to be as prolific as the past. Tanya updated Thaniel on bee program
history.
Board member Galat has a friend who has five or six Japanese Maples to donate, these trees would be a
great addition to the parks with Mason Bee houses, by adding to pollinator inventory.

The 104 project which will include a new parking lot, ADA compliant trails, playground & restroom.
The Cedar Lanes bike park will include trails and a pump track, Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance has
been a project partner.
