MEETING MINUTES
A. CALL TO ORDER
Cemetery Board meeting of Tuesday, June 6, 2023 was called to order by Daryl
Faber at 5:00pm.
Members present: Judi Roland, Jeanne Hicks, Robert Rakos & Tim Pierce
Members absent: Arnie Galli
Staff present: Daryl Faber & Immer Chevalier
B. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes from meeting on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 were not reviewed at this
meeting.
C. DEI TOUR & TRAINING
The Tour and Training was held at the White River Valley Museum in combination
with the Tree Board, Parks Board and the Arts Commission. The Curator of
Collections, Hilary Pittenger did a presentation about the history of White River
Valley, which now is the area of Auburn, Kent, Algona and Pacific. She talked
about struggles that many immigrants experienced when coming to Valley. She
shared a lot of historical data and great information during the tour. Everyone
was able to see and admire the different permanent exhibits during the tour.
D. NEXT MEETING
Next Cemetery Board meeting is scheduled on Tuesday, August 8th at 2pm.
E. ADJOURNMENT
Hilary Pittenger adjourned the meeting at 6:25 pm.
