Call to Order 6:01pm Attendance: Chairperson Michael Hassen, Matt Jennings, Peter DiTuri, Mike Palko-Dean were present. Park Planning & Development Manager Thaniel Gouk, Museum Director Rachael McAllister and Administrative Assistant Alexa Bragg were the staff in attendance II. Minutes August minutes were approved, with one change to Michael Hassen’s name III. Committee Member Input th Matt Jennings updated about the Community Garden on 8 st. There were 101 plots sold Matt Jennings talked about language barriers at the Community Garden Matt Jennings talked about beautifying the garden IV. Correspondence/Public Input V. Old Business VI. New Business Katie Helton has stepped down as a board member Park Planning & Development manager Thaniel proposed a metal detecting ordinance Board members motioned to approve taking Metal Detecting ordinance to council Board members viewed OPMA video VII. Department Report Thaniel informed the board members of a grant received from NRPA for $50,000 for replacing trails at Auburndale park In addition to the grant funds, the parks department will receive a new mower from the local Bobcat dealer Peak Machinery No update from PROS plan consultant Postmark Center for the Arts is entering Phase 2 of the grant Museum Director Rachael gave a presentation regarding summer camps at the museum. The camps were titled Living History and Naturalist Rachael also informed the board members of upcoming events such as LUSIO Lights and Hops & Crops Brew Fest VIII. Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 6:26 pm.
