Keisha Taylor is organizing the trip. Would you like to add this to Thursday’s agenda? Hello, I’m Ryan Jackson and I would like to formally invite you to the Legislative Youth Advisory Council’s Action Day on Sunday January 29th from 10:00am-5:00pm. We know the empowering impact you have on raising the voices of students, and I hope that the work you are doing can align with LYAC’s approaching opportunity, 2023 Action Day Action Day is the annual event that LYAC holds at Olympia for youth groups from around the state. This conference is centered around civic engagement, education, and celebrating the diversity and strength of youth involvement. On Sunday (01/29/2020), we will collaborate with and learn from the invited groups and guest speakers. Invited ambassador groups receive the chance to help LYAC explore youth-related bills that Washington can support and will be assigned to an LYAC youth advocate for leadership training with an active member of your state government! Please click here to visit our LYAC Website with more information on our 2023 Action Day. This year, we're excited about the programming we have planned, including: • Networking activities and games to meet youth from a range of diverse backgrounds from across the state • A panel featuring legislators, prominent organizers, government/nonprofit employees, etc. • The chance to directly engage with and action plan with panelists I would like to extend an invitation for your organization to apply to attend LYAC’s Action Day as an ambassador group. If you are interested, click here to complete the online application. Please let me know if you have any questions, I'm always open to helping. We'd love to have each and every one of you there! Unfortunately, we regret that we cannot provide transportation and accommodation. However, we will be providing lunch, dinner and snacks for each youth attendee. Thank you so much for your time and consideration!
