Gianna Gargiulo is a Teen S ervices L ibrarian with the K ing County L ibrary S ystem, she
would like to attend a future A J C C meeting to discuss possible collaborations.

A .Mayor's Open House
This Thursday, December 14th at from 5-7pm at J unior A chievement
Chair Helms reminded the A J C C that they are welcome to attend the
Mayor’s Holiday Open House on T hursday, December 14 at from 5-7pm
at J unior A chievement.
B .O P MA Training at J an.10th A J C C Meeting
Open Public Meetings Act, all members have to participate O P MA training, takes about
20 minutes.
Chair Helms reminded the A J C C that all members are required to attend

the Open P ublic Meetings A ct training on J anuary 10. Member Ayo asked
Director Hinman about what O P MA training is about.
C.NL C Congressional City Conference
The NL C Congressional Summit conference is from March 10th thru 13th. T he City
can send up to 4 A J C C Members, decide a system for choosing.
A J C C chose the four members that will attend the NL C Congressional
S ummit conference on March 10-13: E mily Helms, Khysner Ayo, S avanah
L ueck, Osiris Romero-Caldera.
D.2024 A J C C Goals
Think about what goals A J C C should focus on 2024.
The A J C C expressed interest in pursuing a strong recruiting effort for
middle school members. Director Hinman explained how the City staff can
assist making contacts in the schools.
Member L ueck requested to have a presentation from the local National
A ssociation for Mental I llness. Director Hinman agreed to find information
on getting that scheduled for a future meeting.
Vice Chair Ayo shared that a recent presentation at her school from local
youth organizations on self-care could also be a good topic for the A J C C
to pursue.
