HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-20-2004 Airport Advisory Board Meeting Minutes April 20, 2004 City Hall Room Introductions were made of the members of the AAB, City Staff and guests. Attendance was taken and a quorum was established by those members in attendance. There being a quorum the prior Chairman of the AAB called the meeting to order because the current Chairman as unavailable. The first item of business was to approved the meeting minutes of the March, 2004 AAB meeting, a motion made, seconded and unanimously passed that the minutes of the March, 2004 meeting be approved at this time. Mr. Garcia, managing member of the Airport Management Group, LLC provided the following information to the AAB, staff and guests. Mr. Garcia reported that 3 new hangars were available at this time and there are still two people on the waiting list for the open t-hangars. Outside tie-down still remains at 42% occupancy. Mr. Garcia reported on the maintenance issues at the airport to include repairs to gates and the gate operator. No status on the proposed beginning of phase two of either Hangars Unlimited or Aviation Properties. Payment coupons, return envelopes, current rules and regulations and the first airport newsletter were mailed out to all tenants on the airport. The transient ramps and corresponding signs have been moved. New secure and locking mailboxes were installed at the airport. No return phone call from the FAA on the instrument approach, Mr. Garcia will continue to monitor and report on the status. Delinquent tenant accounts have been turned over to Mike Reynolds for collections and evection process. Auburn Good Old Days meeting was held and there is planning in progress for a Saturday airport event including a balloon glow at sunset. More details to follow as events and programs are developed. Open Discussion Discussions about having the June AAB meeting at the airport concluded that the June meeting will be held on June 15, 2004, at 6:00 p.m. and Jamelle volunteered the AFS Maintenance building for the meeting location, Notices will be mailed to all tenants.
