Call to Order: Chairman Morrisette called the meeting to order- There being a quorum
the Chairman of the AAB called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.
Approval of Minutes: Approved April 2005 AAB minutes - a motion was made, seconded and
unanimously passed that the minutes of the April 17, 2005 meeting be approved.
NEW BUSINESS - there was no new business for this meeting.
OLD BUSINESS
NW Hangars and AFS are drafting an agreement to present to the City for the proposed building
site between Hangar row 8 and the AFS Maintenance faciiity.
No decision made regarding the Aviation Properties gate and access policy. Staff will contact
Aviation Properties and the Condo Association to discuss this issue and will report back.
Airport staff stated that the airport gate access registration went well and now is complete.
All unauthorized aircraft parking has been addressed and at this no aircraft are parked in
authorized locations.
No update on instrument approach, airport staff will continue to contact FAA. Mr. Garcia to work
with the City representatives to move forward on pressure from the political side.
No report available on the two-day aviation celebration. No meeting was held between meetings
of the AAB. Mr. Garcia did state that he will be attending the Lions Club of Auburn to make a
presentation to the service club regarding the airport and its benefits to the Auburn area
communities.
Mr. Garcia reported that the Rules and Regulations committee has been meeting every Tuesday
and is making substantial progress in the review and recommendations for AAB review.
Request for Proposals still pending rules and regulations and minimum standards to be accepted.
No information to report on the short-term land lease between the Airport and Tom Matson
Dodge.
Airport staff has contacted JB Rupert to inspect and make recommendation and is waiting for
them to come out. No return calls from Armstrong.

R.E.I.L. (Runway End Identifier Lights) proposal have come in and the pricing is over the State
Grant amount. Airport Staff has contacted the State and advised them of the situation. The
conversation concluded that the Airport wiil purchase the equipment with this years grant monies
($6,500.00) and in July 2005 put in a modification of the grant request for the additional funds
required for the installation.
Airport Staff during normal activities discovered a "bootleg" paint shop in one of the City owned
rental hangars (1018). Staff immediately contacted the Fire Marshall and secured the hangar
until the Fire Marshall inspected the hangar the next morning. Fire Marshall contacted the tenant
who was given 10 days to correct fire and electrical code violations. The AAB discussed this
situation and after deliberation and debate the members and guests concurred that the tenant be
given notice of eviction due to numerous code and airport regulations violations.
No contact made with AirBP regarding jet fuel for the Auburn Airport.
No discussion on policy for storage of non-aviation related items and or use of condo hangars for
non-aviation storage and use.
A discussion was conducted regarding auto traffic on the Airport Operations Area (AOA). The
members concluded that all tenants be advised that no unauthorized vehicles are to be in the
AOA unless authorized and properly equipped with light or flag and identified in FAA AC-150
Advisory Circular. This is to be implemented immediately.
Open Discussion
It was discussed and decided that the July AAB meeting will be conducted in the evening and an
invitation to all tenants to attend will be mailed. The date of the meeting is set for July 19, 2005,
Tuesday, at 6:30 p.m.
There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:10 a.m.
