Motion was made, seconded and was unanimously passed that the minutes of February 20, 2007 meeting are approved at this time. Old Business Mr. Garcia gave a report on the status of the instrument approach procedure for the Auburn airport. Mr. Fred Mitchell, FAA reported the approach is now scheduled for August 2007. Mr. Garcia questioned why the additional delay and lack of communication. Mr. Mitchell response was "due to the back log of work at head office in Quality Assurance". Discussion from the group included a Customer Service Inquiry be filed with the FAA and also to engage an inquiry through Congressional channels. Shelley and Jamelle will discuss this idea and make recommendation to the AAB. Trinity/EI2D has been selected as the project manager for the repairs to the roofs on hangar rows 9 and 10. Bids should be prepared by Trinity/ERD in the spring of 2007 with repairs completed in summer of 2007. No additional regarding the rotorcraft and fixed wing traffic situation has been received from the FAA. City and AMG will move forward with the implantation of the eastside rotorcraft traffic pattern and altitude. The fixed wing traffic patter remains unchanged. Mr. Shipman reported that the Hangars Unlimited construction is nearly complete with owners/tenants moving in. Mr. Garcia reported that an engineering consultant for the 2007/2008 taxiway improvement has been selected and now the process of a third-party review is being conducted as required by FAA. Once this is completed the next step is for the consultant to prepare the request for qualifications of construction companies. Discussion regarding the current airport classification of B-1 Small to B-1 concluded the City should consider this as a viable option for further enhancement. New Business Mr. Shipman reported that the eastside fuel terminal has been inoperative and that repair parts for this obsolete system are no longer produced. Salvage parts were obtained from a vendor which was able to repair the unit temporarily. It was recommended to the AAB that a new terminal be budgeted in the very near future. Mr. Shipman reported that the City of Auburn Building department has completed the re-addressing of the airport's properties as requested by fire, planning and utilities departments. The materials required to complete the projects approved by the State of Washington Division of Aeronautics were ordered and will be installed by June 2007. Discussion regarding the nesting of birds in the open hangars including Mr. Shipman reporting that materials had been ordered and once received staff will begin applying the product to the appropriate areas. Tenants will be required to remove their aircraft and advise the airport office when the aircraft is removed and airport staff will apply the product. Respectfully submitted, Jamelle R. Garcia AMG on behalf of the City of Auburn
