Motion was made, seconded and was unanimously passed that the minutes of November 15,2005 meeting are approved at this time with corrections Old business: Discussion on the waste oil collection & Disposal continued with possible ideas for containment and EPA requirements. AMG to research the different available options. Tom Matson said that he could help ideas from their recent installation at the dealership. Mr. Garcia reported that there is one unfilled member position and that Mr. Gary Risner's appointment expires on December 31, 2005. Mr. Garcia will contact Mr. Risner and discuss his reappointment to the AAB. Cascade Airframe has contacted Wright construction and a prelim meeting has been conducted with the City Planning department. No other information regarding Mr. Hunziker proposal. It was again stated that this site will be leased as one contiguous site at approximately 32,000 square feet. Only one report has been received from the MAl appraisal. This report on the raw land leases has been received and one area was found to be incorrect relating to improved site versus non-improved sites. Rental rate adjustments were discussed. Recommended rent increases for 2006 from the appraisal were received. These recommended rates were below AMG's recommendations which were accepted and implemented as of February 2006. Discussion continue that a formal review ofthe final documents from the MAl appraisal will be made and a determination whether a mid-year adjustment is to be recommellded to City of Auburn. Commercial operations that are conducted in City rental storage hangars was discussed and it was recommended that a committee be formed and that committee forward there recommendations to the AAB for adopting policy regarding rent rates, utility charges, insurance and aeronautical permits. Discussion regarding the use of city rental hangars for the storage of non-aeronautical items. No decision was made regarding this item, but will be on the agenda for a later date. Update on instrument included remarks that Shelley Coleman; City of Auburn will follow up on FAA status on the approach and obstruction survey. She has a copy of the FAA organization chart and will also have the City contact the Washington lobbyist with our concerns. No other information on rules and regulations or minimum standards has been received from the legal department at City. Shelley will contact Dan Heid and report where it is in the process. Open Discussion. Ramp and taxiway crack sealing was discussed. The last bid received was in excess of$170,000. This item of work will be delayed pending the taxiway improvements and the State's determination on asphalt condition. A discussion regarding airport security included the installation of video surveillance at gate entrances, down hangars rows. It was mentioned by Mayor Lewis that the airport contact the police department to insure that the system is compatible with the entire City program to aid in surveillance. Airport signage was discussed and Mayor Lewis recommended that the airport staff contact Carolyn Roberts regarding this project for advice and support. Park and Ride property was discussed and Shelley Coleman reported that talks with King County are continuing and as information becomes available will keep us informed. Mayor Lewis discussed the funding for the airport. Reporting that the airport is an enterprise fund and must be self supporting and legally no general funds can be used to support the expenses of the airport.
