WHEREAS heretofore, to-wit; on the let day of September, 190~, The Congr®gatlon of White River Presbyterian Church in ,~'Sl~a~ghter, a corporation, and John Forsblad caused to be filed office of the town clerk of. the %own of Auburn a petition, addressed to the mayor and town council of said town, praying that~1~"''' i~th.~ following portions of Mapl. Street, in the town of Auburn, Ki'ng ~.~County, Washington, particularly bounded a~d described as follows, ';:'to-wit: ~- - __ ., -- A portlon of Maple Street bounded as follows: Beginning~' at the north-west corner of Lot One (1), in Block Six (6) of ~. Ballard,s Par~ Addltlon to the town of Slaughter, King Washington, running thence easterly along the north Iine of said Lot 1 a distance of 110 feet to the north-east corner of :' said Lot 1, thence north 30 feet, thence westerly on a line parallel with the north line of said Lot 1 a distance of 110 feet to the east line of Cedar Street, in the town of Auburn, thence south along the east llne of said Cedar Street a dis- tance of 3o feet to the point and place of beginning. Also a portion of Maple Street bounded as follows: beginning at a point on the west line of Lot 6, in Block of Supplemental Plat of Ballard,s Par~ Addition to Slaughter, King County, Washington, '90 feet north of the south-west co'rner of · said Lot 6, running thence east 15 feet, thence north 30 feet, thence west 15 feet, ~hence south 30 feet to the point and place of beginning, 1. ~.~. in the town of Auburn, King 0ounty, Washington, be vacated;lthat the ordinance vacating the same shall provide that the title to said portlons of Maple Street so vacated shall vest in said ~ 'Petitioners,. Dow having appeared in support of said petition, as president of The Congregation of White River Presbyterian Church in Elaughter, a corporation, and no writ- ten objections to the granting of said petition having been filed and no one having appeared to oppose the granting of said petition and satisfactory proof by affidavit having been filed with the town clerk of said The Town of Auburn, that on the 2nd day of September, A.D., 1908, said town clerk personally posted and set up in three of the most public places in said The Town of Auburn a notice of the pendency of said petition, which no,ice was subscribed by said town clerk, and personally posted and set up a like notice in a conspl- cious place on the~ portion of~.Map~te~ Street sought to be vacated as Prayed for in said petition, which said notices contained a state- ment that a petltlon has been filed with said town clerk to vacate said portions of Maple Street described in maid petition, gerber- with the time and place fixed for the hearing of said petition; and,~ WHEREAS it has been made to appear to the satisfaction of the council of the Town of Auburn, that said petitioner, The Congr'e~ gation of White River Presbyterian Church in Slaughter, a corpor- ation, is the owner in fee simple of. Lot 1, in Block 6 of Ballard's" Park Addition to Slaughter, King County, Washington, which abutts' on one of the portions of Maple Street sought to be vacate~l, and that said petitioner, John ?orsblade is the owner in fee simple of Lot 6, in Block 3 of Supplemental Plat of Ballard,s Par~ Additlon to Slaughter, King County, Washington, which abutts on one of the portions of Maple Street sought to be vacated, and that The Town of Auburn is the owner of the portions of Maple Street sought to be vacated; that all of said real propsrty is situate within the ocr- potato limits of said The Town of Auburn; that the vacating of said portions of Maple Street sought to be vacated, as aforesaid, will be for the best interests of said The Town of Auburn and the inhabi- tants thereof; and the mayor and council of said The Town of Auburn being now fully advised of the facts and the ~law in the Premises; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL 0F THE TOWN OF AUBURN: Section 1. That the following portions of Maple Street, in the town of Auburn, King County, Washington, particularly bounded and~.escribed as follows, to-wit: A portion of Maple Street bounded as follows: beginning at the north-west corner of Lot one (1), in Block six (~) of Ballard's Park Addition to the Town of Slaughter, King 0ounty, Washington, running thence easterly along the north line cf said lot i a distance of ll0 feet to the north-east corner of said lot l, thence~north 30 feet, thence westerly on a line parallel with the north line of said Lot i a distance of ll0 feet to the east line of Cedar Street, in the Town of Auburn, thence south along the east line of said Cedar Street a dis~ tance of ~0 feet to the point and place of beginning. Also a portion of Maple Street bounded as follows: beginning at a point on the west line of Lot 6 in Block ~ of Supplemental Plat of Ballard's Park Addition to Slaughter,King County, Washington, 90 feet north of the south-west corner of said Let 6, running thence east 15 feet, thence north 30.feet, thence west 15 feet, thence south 30 feet to the Point and place of beginning, be vacated. Section 2. That the title to all of the portion of Maple Street described in the first description contained in Section I above shall vest in The Congregation of White River Presbyterian Church in Slaughter, a corporation, said corporation being the owner of the lot or parcel of land abutting thereon, and that the title to all of the portion of Maple Street described in the second des- cription contained in Section I above shall vest in John Forsblade, -3- he being the owner of the lot or parcel of land abutting thereon. Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication as required by law. Introduced October 6th, 1908. Passed October 6th, 1908.
