AN ORDINANCE approving and confirming the a~sessment and the
assessment roll certified to the City Council on the 17th day of Dec-
ember, 1929, b)' the Street. and Alleys Committee and the City Engineer
for tbe cost~ of the improverr.ent in Local Improvement District No. 97
in the City of Auburn, in pursuance of Ordinance iTe. 681, passed June
18, 1929, and providing for the disposition of moneys collected on
said assessment;
WHEREAS due notice has been given that objections to the as.e.~-
ment and asse$sment roll hereinafter menticmed would be hea,rd and de-
terrLined by the City Council at tne City Hall, Auburn, Was,hington, on
the 2lat day of January, 1930, at 8 O'Clock P. M." at which time the
City Council would meet to hear appeals and objections of any and all
persons claiming to be aggrieved by said assessment, and
WHER}t~AS the time for filing objections or taking an appeal has
passed and no objectiong thereto have been so filed, and
WHEREAS the City Council has carefully examined and considered
such assessment anj assessment roll and is now fUlly advised in the
premises;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the aaseQsment and assessment roll certified
to the City Council on the 17th day of December, 1929 by the Streets
and Alleys Coromi ttee and the C1 ty Engineer of th~Gi ty of Auburn for
the costs of the improvement of all that portion'o-r'Pike Stre'et N. E"
in the City of Auburn between Main Street East anj 4th Street N. E.,
all in the Ci ty of Auburn, by the construction therein of concrete and
cement sidewalks on both aides of ~aid portion of said Pike Street N.
E. and by the grading and grevell ing of all that portien of Pike Street
N. E. situate between Main Street East and 4th Street r~. E. and by
doing such other work as may be necessary to properly complete said
improvement constituting Local I~provement District No. 97, in the City
of Auburn in 'r.;ursuance of Ordinance No. 681, passed June 18,1929, and the
levy a~d charge of the cost of said improvement as 8hown upon the
asse~sment roll and thereby apportioned upon the adjoining, contiguous
and approximate lots and parcels of land special1.y benefited, in accord-
ance with the laws of the State of Wa~hington and Ordinance No. 681 of
the Ci ty of Auburn are her eby approved and confirmed in all reapects and
the City Treasurer is hereby directed to collect said assessments weich
may be paid without interest, penalty or cost within thirty days after
due notice shall have been given to the owner of the property within
said assessment district by publication in the manner provided by law
and by~11ing a copy of s[.dd C'lotice. to the owner of the property wi th-

Section 2. The moneys collected upon a,dd assessment accrued and
confirmed by this ordinanoe are hereby ordered to be placed in Local
Improv.ement Fund, Diiltrict No. 97, tile special fund created by ordinance
No. 681, and all warrant8 drawn and bonds i~sued for the payment of said~~

Illiprovement Fund.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and. be in force
five days from and after its passage, publication 3,21d approval as
