Place: City Hall Annex Building,Canference Room2,Second Floor
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Babwck The special meeting of the Airport Advisory Board was to
, discuss the Master Plan Update to be conducted in 2012.This meeting discussed the oprions presented to the AAB and
to the Mayor previously by Mr:7'homas,City of Aubum Economic Development staff.

A discussion regarding the enhancement of the runway revealed that available runway length within the current
airport boundaries were(includes overruns and displace thresholds):
• . Take off runway 16 was yields 3,6_68 feet and landing runway 16 yields 3,953.
� Take off rimway 34 yields 3,953 and]anding runway 34 yields3,685.

more corporate aircraft which require addiuonal runway leng[h.Mr.Garcia advised the members of the FAA's . .
requirement and position an enhancement of the runway.
Additionally the members recognized the significance of enhancing the instrument approach to the airport Lower '

Garcia gave details of the FAA requirements and position on the enhancement of the instrument approsch.
After discussion and debate the following was resolved:
1. Suhcommittee resolves to formally eliminate the Seventh Day Adyentist and Sumner location alternatives
from discussion as impracticable(barring some subsranrial unforeseen change of circumstances),and focus
exclusively on improving the ezisting airport locatfon.
2. It will be necessary and usefiil to follow a step by step process to develop a meaningful and comprehensiye
_ htaster Plan. Jamelle Garcia witl prepare preliminary diagrams of existing and expanded airstrip configurations for ___
� use to create an engineering request for proposal. This will form the clear basis for further sEudies and discussions:
3. Subcommittee recommends that the Advisory Board hold a meedng and invite2 or more engineering firms
and request their estimates to prepare a feasibility study and cost estimate to enhance the airport based on the
subcommittee's preliminary diagtams and further discussions.
