City Staff Present: Bill Peloza, Council Member Shelley Coleman, Finance Director /Airport Supervisor Steve Burke, Facilities Project Manager Airport Management Present: Jamelle Garcia Kasey Maiorca Linda Eskesen Place: City Hall Annex Building, Conference Room 1, Second Floor A motion was made and seconded to accept the Airport Advisory Board Minutes of the March 21, 2012 and March 29, 2012 special meeting. Corrections to the Matrix are the following; add closure of Northwest Aviation College as #19 and Auburn Airport Brochure as #20. Old Business: Update on Hangar Row Roof Project, row 9 &10 - Steve Burke, Facilities Project Manager distributed a Gantt chart and discussed the steps of the roofing project beginning with the bid document preparation through project completion. A suggestion was made that someone from the AAB reviews the specs. Mr. Burke and Mr. Garcia will schedule a meeting to discuss the project. Wash Rack Progress - After molding is installed, the wash rack will be complete reported Mr. Garcia. Leasing of the 2131 office /hangar space update - Marke Schwartz of Airtech Instrument Co., Inc. has committed to leasing the office and hangar. New Business: Report of GRCC tour of 506 building - Green River Community College Aviation Department toured the building and found the size inadequate, since they want to relocate the entire flight program off campus. Mr. Garcia will create a white paper listing options for GRCC to come to the airport and suggested GRCC add a maintenance program to their curriculum. Other possible use for the building might be; a satellite helicopter base for Classic Helicopter at Boeing Field, or training facility for Boeing or other aeronautical business. Airport Management Group prepared and distributed a document concerning future pilot and AMT (aviation maintenance technician) shortage forecast. Airport Fund Financial Report 2011 - A copy of the financial report was distributed and reviewed. The Advisory Board recognized Airport Management Group for their accomplishments. Discussion: The matrix was reviewed. A suggestion was made to invite Doug Lein, City of Auburn Economic Development Manager to the next AAB meeting to discuss the Orion Project.
