A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
AUBURN AND THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER FOR
PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACT NUMBER 13-21, PROJECT
NUMBER CP1303, CITY HALL REMODEL, PHASE 2
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn has determined that it is the
best interests of the City to continue its remodel of City Hall; and
WHEREAS, a project Bid Opening for the construction of the City Hall
Remodel, Phase 2 took place on January 16, 2014, and
WHEREAS, consistent with the contract the City has determined to award only
Alternative #2, 1" Floor Legal Department and associated Lobby Improvements, and
WHEREAS, the contractors are required to hold their bid prices for 45 calendar
days from the date of the bid opening; and
WHEREAS, the City will assess the bids received and identify the Lowest
Responsible Bidder for Alternative #2; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest for the parties to enter into an agreement
for construction of CP1303, City Hall Remodel, Phase 2, with all expediency to insure
that the award and execution of the contract occurs within the 45 calendar day
requirement.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, KING
COUNTY, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows.

Section 1. The Mayor of the City of Auburn is hereby authorized to review
bids, award, and execute an Agreement between the City of Auburn and the Lowest
Responsible Bidder for Alternative #2 for Project Number CP1303, Contract Number
13-21, City Hall Remodel, Phase 2, which agr eement shall conform with the Bid
Documents, provided that the bid amount does not exceed the budgeted amount.
Section 2. The Mayor is also hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this
legislation.
Section 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect upon passage
and signatures hereon.
