A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, SETTING THE TIME AND DATE.
FOR A PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL ON
THE 2019-2024 TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, Section 35.77.010 of the Revised Code of Washington (RCV1�
requires that 4he City of Aubum annuaily prepare and adopt a comprehensive
transportation improvement program for each ensuing six calendar years to ensure that
the City will have available ativance plans as a guide in carrying out a coordinated
street construction program; and
WHEREAS, RCW 35.77.010 requires the City Council to annually conduct a
public hearing to review the work accomplished u.nder each six-year Transportation
Improvement Program, and to adopt a revised and extended comprehensive
transporta4ion improvement program. ��
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:
Section 7. PURPOSE. The purpose of this Resolution is for the City Council to
set a time and date for a public Hearing on the 2019-2024 Transportation Improvement
Flan, to reyiew the work accomplished under the program, and to identify capital
transportation System improvement projects, and relevan4 transportation studies.
Section 2. NOTICE OF HEARING. The Council hereby directs that a notice
specifying the time antl place of fhe public hearing shall be published one time in a
newspaper of general circulation and the notice shall also be posted in three public
places. Such public notice shall precede the public hearing by at least 10 days.

Section 3. DATE OF HEARING. Pursuant to the requirements of State law, a
public hearing on said 2019-2024 Transportation Improvement Program will be held on
the 18th day of June, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., or as soon 4hereafter as reasonably possible,
in the Council Chambers of the Aubum City Hall at 25 West Main Street in Aubum,
Washington, before the City Council, at which hearing all persons interested in said
2019-2024 Transportation Improvement Program are encouraged to attend and testify.
Section.4. AUTHORITY. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this
legislation.
Section 5. EFFECTIVE DATE. This resolution shall be in full force and effect
upon passage and signatures hereon.
