I. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Nancy Backus called the meeting to order at 5:07 p.m. in the
Council Chambers of Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main Street in Auburn.

The City Council Meeting was held virtually in the Council Chambers.
B. Roll Call
Councilmembers virtually present: Deputy Mayor Claude DaCorsi, Bob
Baggett, Robyn Mulenga, Chris Stearns, Yolanda Trout-Manuel,
Councilmember Larry Brown arrived at 5:09 p.m. and Councilmember
James Jeyaraj arrived at 5:18 p.m.
Mayor Nancy Backus and the following department director and staff
member were present: Director of Human Resources and Risk
Management Candis Martinson and Equity Program Manager Brenda
Goodson-Moore.
II. DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Inclusive Auburn Initiative Training for City Council
Inclusive Auburn Initiative Training
Bernardo Ruiz, Racing to Equity Consulting Group
Mayor Backus introduced Bernardo Ruiz and Caitlin Hoover with Racing to
Equity Consulting Group.
Mr. Ruiz and Ms. Hoover facilitated session one of the Inclusive Auburn
training with the City of Auburn City Council.
Council discussed racial equity, implicit bias, institutional and structural
racism.

There being no further business to come before the Council,the meeting
was adjourned at 9:18 p.m.
